Naruto: A Guide To Jutsu And How It Works

Intro
Techniques (also known as Jutsu) are the arts that ninja use in battle. In order to perform a jutsu, the ninja will need to apply his chakra.

The chakra can come from two places: your cells and mental & spiritual energy gained from experience. The ninja will release these two energies before performing a jutsu. Soon after that, the hand seals are formed and the creation of the desired jutsu is started.

Jutsu are ranked depending on the difficulty or skill needed to perform them. In total, there are 6 ranks plus two additional informal ranks for special situations. The rank of a jutsu doesnt necessarily mean that it will be more effectice than a lower-ranked jutsu, but just more difficult to perform properly. The informal ranks are Hiden jutsu and Kinjutsu.

Hiden jutsu are jutsu that has been passed down from generation to generation within a clan. These jutus are not ranked since no one outside the clan knows how to perform them. Kinjutsu sometimes fall into one of the six main ranks, but there are some exceptions because they are forbidden (or looked down upon) to learn and perform.

Some things that usually indicate if a technique is categorized as forbidden is if it causes great harm to the user (such as opening the eight gates), or if they are sinister in nater (such as the revival jutsu performed by Orochimaru).

The Six main Jutsu ranks are:

E-ranks - Academy Student
This is where would-be ninja would start. They are not considered ninja, however, until they graduate. The academy students take tests both formal and practical in addition to being taught martial arts, techniques, and basic ninja skills. Basic weapon usage is commonly taught, and the elementary ninja techniques are taught also.

D-Rank - Genin
This is the lowest level of the ninja and also the ones that display the most difference in power. When the ninja become Genin, they do missions that benefit the villages economy. They are typically sent on D-rank missions (the lowest mission rank). These missions are usually risk-free and potentially offer little to no harm.

C-Rank - Chuunin
Chuunin are the ninja who qualify to watch over and guide the other ninja. They have reached a level of maturity that mostly consists of leadership skills and tactical prowess. In order to become a Chuunin, a Genin participates in a large exam with his or her teacher.

B-Rank - Jounin
Jounin are highly-experienced ninja with great skill who serve as military captains. They are usually sent on A-rank missions, and experienced Jounin can even be sent on S-rank missions. They are sometimes assigned as sensei for three-person teams of Genin.

A-Rank - Kage/Jounin
Those who have achieved the title of Kage are the leaders of the five most powerful hidden villages and also the most powerful ninja in their respective villages. Most Kage have family members who were previous Kage, or personally taught by a former Kage.

S-Ranks - Serious/Extreme
S-Class ninja have gained far more power than the average Jounin. The title is more of a class rather than an actual rank though. The relationship among these ninja vary from being part of the village to a ninja who wonders, but still maintains loyalty to their village such as Jiraiya.

Elements & Jutsu
The jutsu a ninja uses are base of various elements. The five main elemental styles are also the five names for the five great shinobi countries (fire, wind, lightning, earth, and water). Each ninja has the potential to use a style better than the other or more. A special elemental detecting paper is used in order to determine ones type. The paper comes from trees which are specifically grown with chakra. When a user channels a portion of their chakra to the paper, the paper will react and reveal the users type. If the users type is Fire, the paper will burn. If the users type is wind, the paper will split in two. If the users type is Water, the paper will become wet. If the users type is Lightning, the paper will crumple. And if the users type is earth, then it will fall apart.

Each of the five elements contain a strength and a weakness. The fire element is stronger than the wind element. The wind element has an advantage over lightning. Lightning has an advantage over earth. Earth has an advantage over water, and water finishes the cycle off by finishing out fire.

Types of Jutsu

Cursed Seal Jutsu
Cursed seal jutsu are jutsu that use a special "cursed seal" to put the opponent under control. A prime example of this would be when Orochimaru initially planted his curse seal on Sauske during the Chuunin exams.

Fuuinjutsu (Sealing Techniques )
Fuuinjutsu are sealing techniques the ninja uses. They enable the ninja to contain the element and demons. Examples of this type of jutsu would be when Shukaku was 'placed' inside Gaaras body via Fuuinjutsu technique.

Ninjutsu (Ninja Techniques)
Ninjutsu is usually almost any technique that requires chakra, and allows the user to do something that they otherwise would not be able to do. While Genjutsu makes the opponent see illusions, the effects of ninjutsu are very real. Ninjutsu relies strongly on chakra and most of the time, hand seals. The hands are formed in different positions that shape the chakra into the needed manner to perform the jutsu.

Taijutsu (Body Techniques/Hand-to-hand combat)
Taijutsu is associated with any techniques that involve martial arts or the use of human abilities in general. Taijutsu is much more easier to execute than Ninjutsu or Genjutsu because it is executed by taping directly into the users stamina, rather than converting the users stamina to chakra. Although chakra is never used in taijutsu, there are some exceptions. The Hyuuga clan uses chakra in their Gentle Fist style of attacking, and Tsunade and Sakura combine chakra into their attacks in order to deal more damage.

Genjutsu (Illusion Techniques)
Genjutsu techniques are the illusion techniques of a ninja that normally require hand seals. Genjutsu will use hypnosis to cause hallucinations in the opponent. By using such realistic illusions, they can cause their target mental pain that is just as real as taking physical damage. Genjutsu is created when a ninja releases their chakra flow from the cerebral nervous system of their opponent, controlling their minds chakra; thus, affecting all five senses.

Depending on the user, countering Genjutsu could be difficult. But there are two options to counter Genjutsu. The first option is to stop the flow of chakra in there body, applying an even stronger force to 'override' the casters flow of chakra. The second way is to have an outside user who is unaffected by the Genjutsu use their chakra to disrupt the casters chakra flow.

Don't keep it plugged in 24/7

Sarach Naetimaetee/ShutterstockKeeping your computer plugged into the charger all the time, even when you’re not using it, is bad for the battery. Katsch says that your computer battery should never be at a full charge or no charge at all. So, don’t keep your computer plugged in all day and don’t use it until it dies. Keeping the charge between 50-80% is ideal. Katsch recommends plugging in your computer in the morning, and then once it’s fully charged, keep it unplugged for the rest of the day. These tips will help to make your computer faster.

You could always just keep the content centered (or left aligned) on the page at a normal width, say 960 or 1024px which would allow it to be readable. To fill up the extra space on the sides you could use a gradient, clever shadows, or some images to “fill” up the blank space. My site maxes out at 960px so it looks the same on 1600 wide monitors, and 1900 wide monitors and beyond. A word of advice- when designing for large screen, testing or actually designing for a large screen is really helpful- it is hard to visualize a large screen when working on a 13″ laptop. Reply ↓

JavaScript is used all over the web and can provide detailed information about your system to any website that uses it. This is almost always used completely harmlessly and is often used to improve your browsing experience or funnel more personalised and relevant adverts your way. However, some of this personal or system information can and has been leaked in the past. Disabling JavaScript completely is not really a viable solution as a large amount of websites require you to accept JavaScript in order for them to display correctly. However, you can install an extension into your browser that will allow you to blacklist or whitelist JavaScript activity, giving you more control over how and where your information is being used. NoScript and ScriptSafe are both popular choices and very easy to use.

I need help with the last step-housing the “hub.” I first thought of a fancy acrylic box with appropriate holes for wires, that I could then stash in a drawer and leave on. But the display has limited wire length, so it needs to be in the box as well. I want the screen to be independent from the box, so the hub can remain in a drawer while the screen is out. This led to my current idea: leave the box in the center sliding drawer of a desk, and mount the display in the desk surface. I have a desk at home with a glass pane over the wood top, so I could cut out a square in the wood and fit the display up against the glass. This way, the box is out of sight in the drawer, and the display is always viewable from the desk! Before I start sawing into my desk, though, I wanted to throw it out there to all of you. Any better ideas? I’m happy to hear them! Until next time…

It might be the 21st century, but we're still using squiggles on a piece of paper to agree to all manner of things. If you are emailed a PDF to sign, though, you don't have to faff about printing it, signing it, then scanning it back in: you can actually sign it right in Mail.

The Parental Controls in OS X are simple, but there are plenty of options in there – some of which are useful for other things than preventing underage access. You can limit computer use to a certain length of time every day, set a 'bedtime' after which users won't be able to use the computer, limit the functions of the Finder, limit what apps that user can use and more. You could, for example, disallow a nervous computer user from modifying the Dock or changing their password.

Right-clicking a taskbar icon brings up that's program's Jump List—quick links to the most recent files you've opened with that program. Got a file or template you open often? Pin it to the Jump List by dragging it onto the program's taskbar icon, or by clicking the pin icon to the right of the file name in the Jump List itself. Jump Lists can skirt around Windows' frustrating refusal to pin individual folders to the taskbar, pinning folders to the Jump List instead.

Next, go to the Processes tab. This shows you what processes are currently running on your machine. While some of these are needed, some, like those associated with music and video players or cloud storage services (like Dropbox or Google Drive) can be disabled without causing any problems.

You can shut Windows down with a few button clicks. It all starts with Windows key + X to open the Quick Access Menu, followed by the U key to expand the Shut down or sign out options. Finally, press I to sign out, U to shut down, R to restart, H to hibernate, and S to sleep.

Before I started, I moved everything to an external hard drive, in case I seriously damaged anything. Then, I painstakingly removed the plastic body, setting the screws aside. Much to my horror, my dog decided to play with the parts tray, sending screws flying off the bench. Luckily, my feet have a way of finding them, especially in the dark! On the bright side, I successfully removed all of the crucial components, and the laptop can still be linked together and powered on.

The iPhone comes with a feature that enables it to share its 3G or 4G mobile broadband connection with other devices (though this must be allowed by your network operator), making it perfect for getting your Mac online wherever you are. There are three ways to connect your Mac to your iPhone to share its signal: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB.To begin, go to the Personal Hotspot option in the iPhone's Settings menu, and turn it on. If you want to connect over Wi-Fi, find the Wi-Fi network created by the iPhone in your Mac's Wi-Fi options, select it, and enter the password shown in the iPhone. To connect using USB, plug your iPhone into your Mac and you should get a dialog that takes you to the Network section in System Preferences, from which you can select the iPhone. For Bluetooth, activate Bluetooth on both devices and pair them, and the connection option should again appear in System Preferences > Network.

Those taskbar icons can also be used to quickly launch a second (or third, or fourth, or…) instance of a program—a fresh browser window alongside an already populated one, for instance, or another Windows Explorer window.Doing so is easy: Just hold down the Shift button, then open the program as you normally would, either via a left click of the mouse or the aforementioned quick-launch keyboard trick. Boom! A new, clean version of the software appears alongside the one you already have open.

Preview is one one of the most under-appreciated apps on a Mac; especially in later versions of OS X, it became hugely powerful, and even for us at MacFormat, it does much of what we'd traditionally use a more elaborate and expensive application such as Photoshop for. Do yourself a favor: open an image in Preview and poke around the app's menus and interface to see what it can do.

Question: Using Camera in LaptopBy Pam H. 0 found this helpfulNovember 3, 2014I have a camera in my laptop, and I don't know how to use it. What should I do? By Pam H. Answer Was this helpful? YesBy cybergrannie November 5, 20140 found this helpfulAre you referring to the camera that lets other people see you when you are "talking" to them? In any case, computers are different so you will have to find this in your laptop manual. If you do not have a manual then research it on line. You will just have to have your laptop "name" and model number which is on your laptop. Usually you can find a manual to review on line or maybe print it out to keep for future reference. You can also just Google your question (include laptop name and model) and maybe find an answer that way.First - find the name and model number as this is necessary for anyone to be able to really answer your questions. With Mail since Yosemite, though (and in fact with the webmail version of Mail at icloud.com), you can email files up to 5GB in size. What in fact happens is that the attachment really gets uploaded to iCloud, and then a link is sent to your recipient where they have 30 days from which to download it.

For example, you can crop your image. Draw a selection with the regular Rectangular Selection tool then either hit Command+K or choose Crop from the Tools menu. Alternatively, show the Edit Toolbar and make a more complex selection either with the Instant Alpha tool (like in iWork) or use the Smart Lasso.

3. Adjust Your Settings While you'll still have to use the display and the keyboard, you can adjust the settings for each to reduce power consumption. One often overlooked power drain is keyboard backlighting. Unless you're in the dark and need the backlight just to make out each key, turn off the backlight entirely. You can typically assign a hotkey for this function.

This is very cool how you list every single devices. While is it very useful, it can be very daunting and overwhelming. I usually use 4 ranges for my site that it…. 1)smallest for wearable, 2)smaller for mobile phone, 3)medium for the tablet, and 4)large to max for laptop and desktop. Thank you again for the detailed list. That is a lot of work and I bow to you sir. Thank you again for awesome works on this site. I learned a lot from this site. Reply ↓

While you're in the Device Manager, you can also turn off any unused ports. Just like an extension cord left plugged into an outlet, these unused plugs still have power going through them, and losing some in the process. The actual impact on battery life will be minimal, but if you're desperate for another minute or two of life, this will help. Take a quick glance at your ports, and turn off anything that's not being used, like USB ports with nothing connected to them.

Using a keyboard and mouse with your PS4 is as easy as plugging them into the front of your console. Okay, you might not want to use them to go on the rampage in GTA V, but if you’re doing some form-filling or web browsing then it’s a lot easier than fiddling around with the DualShock 4. Most devices will work with no extra configuration required.

The menu bar has been a fixture on the Mac since it launched in 1984, but since OS X El Capitan, you can hide the menu bar. Open System Preferences, go to General, then click "Automatically hide and show the menu bar."

you have 1824px which yes is understandable, very large screens, larger then my imac monitor so therefore the grid system can expand. But then you have 1224px, ok this is larger then the resolution of my macbook but 1200px at least is my imac size and to me the standard size of any screen round a bout.

It used to be in Safari that if you wanted to delete caches and history, you only had the nuclear option: nix everything.Since Yosemite, though, when you choose Clear History and Website Data from the History menu of Safari, you get the option of covering your tracks by clearing data from the last hour, today, today and yesterday or, as before, from all time.It clears your history from all devices signed into your iCloud account too.

Finally, turn off or turn down the sound. If you need to hear, drop the sound down as low as you can, and consider switching from the laptop's larger speakers to a set of tiny earbuds to get the audio piped right to your ears. Whenever possible, just mute the laptop altogether. That way, the speakers won't be getting any power, and you'll buy yourself some more precious time.

Increase the number of items in Jump Lists If you come to lean heavily on Jump Lists (as yours truly does), there may eventually come a time when you have so many files pinned to programs that the default 10-item limit on Jump Lists just won't cut it. Fortunately, it's easy to alter the number of files displayed by Jump Lists.Right-click on the taskbar, select Properties, then open the Jump List tab in the dialog box that appears. Here, you'll find some basic tools that let you fiddle with how Jump Lists behave—including the number of items you want displayed when you open a Jump List. Set it to the number you desire (more than 15 to 20 gets unwieldy) and click OK to save your changes.

In OS X 10.7, Preview gained the ability to add your signature to documents. To get started, go to the Signatures tab in Preview's preferences and then click the +. Now, sign your name in black ink on a small piece of white paper and hold it up to your Mac's webcam. Line it up and click Accept (making sure the 'Save this signature' option is checked if you want to use it in the future). Now open a document you want to sign, pop up the Edit Toolbar and click the signature icon – it looks like an S on a line next to a tiny X. Draw a box to add your signature on the form. You can scale and reposition it afterwards too.

Since Yosemite, clicking the green button at the top left of a window now takes that window full screen rather than maximizing it, but you can restore the old behavior by holding ⌥ as you hover over the green button. But, there's more! Hold ⌥ as you resize one side of a window and the window also resizes from the other side as well. Hold ⇧ and the window resizes proportionally, aligned to the opposite edge (which sounds a bit confusing but makes sense when you try it).Or, hold ⌥ and ⇧ when resizing a window for the whole thing to shrink down proportionally around the centre. Put it all together and you could click the green button to make a window fill the screen then resize one edge while holding ⌥ and ⇧ so that you make it smaller but keep it centered. Babar

OVER 13: PAK 61/2 (Azhar 37* Hafeez 0*) target 289     The ball before, Babar had slashed at another similar ball and Jadhav made a muff of the field on the boundary. Mohammad Hafeez comes in and there are four dot balls. It's a lovely evening there now so I don't suppose DL will come into play, but there's little chance of Pakistan being ahead of that score from here on.

Mohammad Amir suddenly goes down to the ground, clutching his ankle, as the Pakistan team physio comes out onto the field, to inspect the paceman, who eventually walks off to the dressing room. Wahav Riaz comes in to bowl in Amir's place.

BBC - Soutik Biswas's India: India vs Pakistan: The return of the epic

1998-99 (India)Confusingly, the `third' Test of the series was designated as a separate game, part of the rather questionable Asian Test Championship, the brainchild of Jagmohan Dalmiya. The tournament was a triumph for Pakistan, who were 26 for 6 against India on the opening day at Calcutta but fought back to win by 46 runs, despite Javagal Srinath's 13 for 142. India were left grumbling about a system of bonus points which left them out of a final in which Pakistan easily beat Sri Lanka. At Lahore, Sri Lanka gained the bonus point needed to eliminate India while Wasim Akram kept himself out of the attack. Pakistan denied any wrong-doing , and India had themselves to blame too; they had squandered a winning position at Calcutta. Test: India 0 Pakistan 1

Pakistan became a permanent member of the International Cricket Council in 1948, and their tour of India was their first in Test cricket history. They lost the first Test in Delhi to India, but won the second Test in Lucknow, which led to an angry reaction from the home crowd against the Indian players. India clinched the Test series after winning the third Test in Bombay, but the intense pressure affected the players of both teams to the point that they pursued mainly defensive tactics that led to drawn matches and whole series without a victor. When India toured Pakistan in 1955, thousands of Indian fans were granted visas to go to the Pakistani city of Lahore to watch the Test match. But both the 1955 series and Pakistan's tour of India in 1961 ended in a drawn series with no test yielding a winner or loser. Complaints about the fairness of umpires also became routine.

Another bouncer from Pandya has Malik swaying, but he follows that up with a wide half-volley that the batsman timed beautifully through cover for four. The next ball is an overcompensation: on the hips and Malik whips it away through fine leg for four.  The new batsman has injected some tempo for Pakistan. Thick edge from Hafeez, but it runs harmlessly down to third-man for one.

Kohli's not wasting any time in finding form, glancing the ball down to third-man for a boundary. India running well, too, the final ball of Wasim's over going for two more to the India captain.

What are they saying? India captain Virat Kohli: Indian skipper Virat Kohli has denied reports of a rift between himself and coach Anil Kumble on the eve of his team's Champions Trophy Group B opener against arch-rivals Pakistan at Edgbaston on Sunday. Reports of a falling out between Kohli and Kumble emerged after India's cricket board (BCCI) invited applications for the head coach's role last week, despite the team's excellent results since Kumble took over last June. Kumble has guided the team to just one defeat in 17 tests since taking charge, and the BCCI has made it clear that it will also consider extending his contract. "There are no issues whatsoever," Kohli told a news conference on Saturday. "There has been a lot of speculation and a lot of things written by people without actually being a part of the changing room, which is very strange. "There are no problems whatsoever. The team is totally focused on the Champions Trophy." What are the odds? India - 4/9 Pakistan - 7/4 What's our prediction? India should win here, but we're expecting a close match.

FOUR! Short and wide from Lakmal and Sarfraz cuts it through point. The third man hares across from third man, got to the ball but failed to stop the ball as he parries it to the fence. He blocks the second ball to covers. The next ball is on a length and swinging in Sarfraz buries it onto the ground. Another defensive shot from the Pakistan skipper. This is intelligent cricket. Sarfraz takes a single off the fifth ball. He wans to keep the strike as much as possible. Can Amir survive this ball? Yes he can, he nudges it to square leg and wants a single. Sarfraz says no mate stay there. 44 off 72

OVER 25: IND 138/1 (Rohit 65* Kohli 1*)                I don't really know what to tell you about that. Shadab was struggling with the wet ball, needed a rag. Dhawan down the pitch to a full toss, and plopped it straight to the man in the deep. The Indians in the crowd allow themselves a split second to reflect, then start going nutso. Why? Because Virat Kohli is coming to the crease. Kohli gets in with enough time left to get his hundred. Everybody wins.— Hassan Cheema (@mediagag) June 4, 2017

"There are no issues whatsoever," Kohli told a news conference on Saturday. "There has been a lot of speculation and a lot of things written by people without actually being a part of the changing room, which is very strange.

The growth of large expatriate populations from India and Pakistan across the world led to neutral states like the United Arab Emirates and Canada hosting several bilateral and multilateral ODI series involving the two teams. Players in both teams routinely face intense pressure to win, and are threatened by extreme reactions in defeat. Extreme fan reactions to defeats in key matches such as in the ICC Cricket World Cup have been recorded, with a limited degree of violence and public disturbances. At the same time, India-Pakistan cricket matches have also offered opportunities for cricket diplomacy as a means to improve relations between the two countries by allowing heads of state to exchange visits and cricket followers from either country to travel to the other to watch the matches.

First bowling change,  Hasan Ali comes on with his right-arm fast medium. Offers the merest hint of width and Rohit is at him, a lovely, clever, touchy shot behind square for four. Quality act, old RS. The days of 'Nohit Sharma' but a memory these days. Weather not looking too good.

WICKET! Amir c Jadhav b Yadav 9 Amir gets two off the first ball of the over, but gives his wicket away the very next ball. Tries to hit Yadav on the up through cover which is more than a tad ambitious. Simple chance for Jadhav in the field, despite his shocking put-down earlier.

Cheers Ben. There's 25 minutes left in the bank, as it were, before we have to start losing overs. Doesn't look too bad. Rain spoiled the contest between these two in the 2013 Champions Trophy on this same ground, India getting home comfortably in a DL chase of 102 in 22 overs.

Shame. But that delay might come at a reasonable time for Pakistan. India just starting to tick, and some errors starting to creep in for the Pakistan boys. Imad tosses one up and Dhawan wallops it. Now a really irritating bit of cricket, the ball knocked into the deep for a single, a wild throw, keeper misses it, nobody is backing up. Oh, Pakistan. Three runs. Anyway, then a couple of singles and the umpires have the players off after the fifth ball of the over.

But, sorry to say, that pressure dissipates as  Imad Wasim starts with a nothing ball, and Dhawan dabs it to point. The simplest bit of fielding you could wish to see, but Ahmed Shehzad has dived over the ball, allowing a freebie two. Next ball is a wide down legside. No score for the rest of the over, though, Dhawan picking out the fielders.

ICC Champions Trophy 2017 has reached its business end and we are just three matches away from knowing that who will be the next side who to claim the coveted trophy on 18th June at The Oval, London. In the first semi-final, the hosts England and Pakistan will battle it out hard at Cardiff to book a berth in the grand final. The runners-up of last Champions Trophy, England is the only undefeated team in the tournament and is arguably the most complete side in limited-overs cricket. Eoin Morgan’s men have all bases covered and will start as the favourites against the men in green.

Pakistan have come back well, after Rohit's wicket, but Yuvraj Singh seems to have come out to bat with the intention of scoring the quick runs. Sparsed boundaries have kept India's run rate up, as we enter the last eight overs.

If it is cricket’s role to offer a day-long and all-consuming escape, it did the job well enough when India met Pakistan in the Champions Trophy. A crowd of 24,156 – the highest for a one-day game in Birmingham – and a television audience of about one billion watched the first fixture between the two neighbours since the 2015 World Cup. India won very easily, by 124 runs. Their batting power has been the most significant opening bid in the first four matches of this tournament although England, provided they qualify, can avoid India in the semi-finals by meeting South Africa, whom they beat 2-1 in their recent series. It was India’s batting which set this Champions Trophy alight. The first three games had contained quite a lot of mediocrity, truth be reported, and not surprisingly given that the majority of players had only a game or two to acclimatise to England’s particular conditions; and there was plenty more mediocrity in this game, until India’s middle order not only took off but almost went into orbit by scoring 76 runs from their last four overs. Yuvraj Singh, a bruising left-hander and India’s most experienced batsman, lit the blue touchpaper. To that point, their captain, Virat Kohli, had been earthbound, pushing his ones and twos, as if his reputation as the world’s best batsman had been much exaggerated. He then reached for the stars, scoring 37 runs off his last 12 balls, while Hardik Pandya weighed in by hitting the first three balls of India’s final over for six.

Sarfraz Ahmed is a delightful gabbler, I like him even more for that. He relates that Shadab, the 18-year-old leggie, is in the XI, Fashim Ashraf is the man who misses out. Virat gets a huge cheer: "The side batting second will have some pressure. Nice and hard wicket. We will look to use our main strength which is batting. It is just a game of cricket for me, anywhere in the world. We feel normal, the preparations are as usual." For India, R Ashwin and Shami are out.

WICKET! Sarfraz c Dhoni b Pandya 15 Lovely straight drive from Sarfraz back past Pandya for four, and that's the 150 up for Pakistan.  Tries to run one down to third-man, but the ball gets a little too close to him and he glances it straight to Dhoni with a shot that looked something out of morning catching practice.

And we have some good news from Edgbaston. Rain has stopped, and the covers are off. India and Pakistan are all set to resume their rivalries again, in a while.

Well that looks plum out to me, but for some reason Marais Erasmus doesn't fancy it. Pakistan get one thing right at least, albeit the first thing they have got right all day. They review. It's out.

Amir gets two off the first ball of the over, but gives his wicket away the very next ball. Tries to hit Yadav on the up through cover which is more than a tad ambitious. Simple chance for Jadhav in the field, despite his shocking put-down earlier.

I have not seen Sarfraz Ahmed skipper before, and I cannot say I am all that impressed. Drifty, nothingy display so far. Dhawan sweeps Malik for four.

Where was the game won? It was rather lost, in the death overs, with Pakistan conceding 72 runs in the last four overs, grotesquely bowling a spinner in the last, which constituted one of the many baffling tactics from Sarfraz. India won that moment - Hardik contributed with his cameo - and then Bhuvneshwar kickstarted a train of stop-and-start partnerships, none of which sustained. A good opening partnership was tamed, Pandya upped his bowling game with figures of 2/43 and Pakistan were dished out a hammering. They opted to chase to evade Kohli but ironically, rammed their heads into an upcoming battery of Indian bowlers. And a vintage Yuvraj Singh.

Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma were just looking to up the tempo, when the weather gods decided to interfere with the game as the showers poured down. They did not last for long though, as play resumed later, with Dhawan and Rohit needing to acclimatise themselves to the conditions again.

Lasith Malinga is back! He starts with a short ball around leg, Sarfraz ducks thinking it is a wide but the umpire thinks otherwise. Malinga attempts a dipping, slow yorker but it goes down the leg side. WIDE! DROPPED! Has Thisara dropped the match here? I think so. Sarfraz chips it towards Thisara at mid on, he rushes in and fluffs the ball. Got a bit too excited I feel. Lasith Malinga is fuming. Ahmed tickles the third ball to fine leg for a single. Amir just taps the fourth ball for a run. The Malinga smile is back. Ball six: another slow yorker and Sarfraz drives it uppishly to mid on but it falls well short of the fielder.

OVER 31: IND 163/1 (Rohit 74* Kohli 17*)   Seam at both ends now for Pakistan, Hasan back into the attack. He's getting the ball to nip back a little and is asking a few questions of Rohit and Kohli. The former tries to go on the attack, attempting to drill the ball down the ground but he doesn't time it and mid-on intercepts. In response, Hasan gets Rohit ducking under a short ball - a terrific, lively delivery. Another quiet over - just another single.

Amir just gets time to bowl one more dot ball before the rain gets heavier and the players charge off. Such a shame. But we've still got 25 minutes or so until we start losing overs, so hopefully it won't be delayed for long. A timely delay for us here at least, Ben Curtis hands over to Alan Tyers. Ta.

OVER 43: IND 242/2 (Kohli 42* Yuvraj 37*)         Glad you dropped Yuvraj Singh now, Hasan Ali? Gets his foot out of the way and murders the ball down the ground for four. Now he tries a slower ball but Yuvi has seen it all before. That sits up nicely, he is onto it, and it's soon sailing into the midwicket stands for six. 36 off the last four and Pakistan are in all sorts. 23 balls for Yuvi so far. Does any bowling attack in world cricket receive so little support from their fielders as Pakistan? Almost impossible to build pressure.— George Dobell (@GeorgeDobell1) June 4, 2017

"I was away from cricket coaching for a year, and now, I want to come back to it. I have also enjoyed my time in India, and it would be nice to serve Indian cricket."

The rain delay has certainly halted the momentum that India were starting to pick up, towards the end of the first 10 overs of the match. Rohit and Dhawan are looking to get their eye in again, something that has caused a drop in the run rate.

Finding your Path in DigitalEd Greenland / April 10, 2017When you first start out working in digital marketing, you’ll find that eventually there’s a need to specialise. After you've chosen your keyword phrase, use it consistently throughout the page. Also, note that Google explicitly say "links that pass PageRank". Black hat SEO focuses on only search engines and not so much a human audience. Our skilled SEO team is well-versed in taking businesses to the next level.Click here to learn morePaid Media & PPC ManagementOur paid media team holds qualifications in Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Bing Ads and Marin, loaded with the knowledge and skills to bring you greater returns from your investment.Click here to learn more

The bottom line is that there's no shortcuts to driving results with effective SEO. They want companies to perform well in search results because they deserve to, not because they have deep pockets and can buy links. But who says you have to manage it all? With PosiRank, you truly can experience true & total strategic freedom. In doing so, introducers receive a nice commission for doing little, if no work. The first is that it allows our partners to add margin to our services and therefore profit from what we do. We will sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement, which means that your customers never need to know that another company is working on their contract. If you follow White Hat SEO practices in the same way everyone else does, you're not doing much to stand out, and you may not achieve the search results you desire. We have a range of traditional digital marketing packages, as well as our core Inbound Marketing service. And between our expert staff, our veteran users (who are always hanging out in the Strategy Room forums), and our weekly SEO experiments - you'll have no end of strategic help at your disposal as well. We help customers with inbound marketing by providing lead nurturing and demand generation services, content marketing and marketing strategy. Depending on the seriousness of the violation, the penalty can last from a few weeks to several months or until the problem is completely fixed. If not, I recommend using the general “contact us” page and asking them to forward your message to the right person.

Becoming a reseller of SEO services means that you can offer ethical and high quality content creation, link building, and full SEO packages. Our SEO reseller program has grown and now, we have a Local SEO reseller program and a PPC reseller program. The amount you can learn and do is so broad that it’s very difficult to be an expert in every element. Configure a custom domain to run your own SEO tools on your own website, build different levels of access to your SEO tools and scan limits, create landing pages on your website and promote the SEO tools under your brand. Therefore, the link was no longer being given because of the quality of the website, but more because the webmaster would get a link in return.

Guest Posting Ethical guest posting remains one of the most effective means of building long-term links. Black hat SEO is typically used by those who are looking for a quick return on their site, rather than a long-term investment on their site. After all, getting on Google's bad side doesn't really help anyone. There have been some very public examples of large companies being penalized by Google for violating their guidelines.

Does Google treat text kept behind "read more" links with the same importance as non-hidden text? The short answer is "no," but there's more nuance to it than that. Web CEO will bill you $2 per month for all active projects that are run on your custom white label domain and you will bill your clients anything you want for the access you grant them. Consequences of black hat SEO can possibly result in your site being banned from a search engine and de-indexed as a penalization for using unethical techniques.

According to this study from the Oxford Journal, “The goal of UX design in business is to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty through the utility, ease of use, and pleasure provided in the interaction with a product.” For our purposes, your website is the product. In today's Whiteboard Friday, Rand explains just how the search engine giant weighs text hidden from view using CSS and JavaScript.

Good question, Rob. And it requires perpetual adaptation - the SEO landscape is ever changing. This is where the difference between buying links and buying advertising comes into play.

At the end of the day, it's usually good to play it safe. In this Whiteboard Friday, Rand explains why expert roundups aren't the best use of your time and effort, and how to pivot your strategy to create similar content that'll make the juice worth the squeeze.

Search Engine OptimisationWe are passionate about helping you to build and expand your business, not a set of shaky search engine rankings. Before long, more than 400 agencies were selling our white label SEO service. Instead of trading links with other relevant, good quality websites, many SEOs would just trade links with anyone they could. Meta tags provide a guide to each page's content. One of the hardest parts of doing outreach for brick and mortar business or large sites is finding the right person to get in touch with. If you dig deep you can usually find the right email address somewhere on the site. But you’re right: it takes a slightly different approach. Some techniques used in black hat SEO include: keyword stuffing, link farming, hidden texts and links, and blog content spamming. Today, we're a team of enthusiastic and focused analysts, developers, designers, marketing specialists, account managers, and writers who have a passion for technology and digital marketing solutions that drive sales for our clients. This can definitely work for local businesses. It also became known as "link exchanges" or "reciprocal links" as a tactic. In most cases, when Google is not leading in a given market, it is lagging behind a local player. We've driven measurable success for thousands of agencies & marketers. The second important benefit of white labeling is that you maintain the customer under your own brand. White Hat SEO practices produce effective, long lasting and ethical improvements to your website and are always good business practice. Why can't you be next?

In years gone by, trading links with other websites was a good way of getting links. In reality, Google hands out penalties for this kind of behaviour all the time, but most cases don't receive the headlines that our example companies did.

Black hat SEO refers to techniques and strategies used to get higher search rankings, and breaking search engine rules. White hats tend to produce results that last a long time, whereas black hats anticipate that their sites may eventually be banned either temporarily or permanently once the search engines discover what they are doing.

Thinking of publishing an expert roundup? Don't—there's a better way. It takes consistent, authentic publicity on an ongoing basis. So, while it may be tempting to get that initial hit from "black hat" techniques, you should always optimize your site with white hat SEO. This will yield better search results over time, and you will avoid the penalties of "black hat SEO." Here are some good examples:

All of these examples made headlines because the companies in question were very large and well-known. The search engines attempt to minimize the effect of the latter, among them spamdexing. Whilst at first you’re going to want to keep your knowledge broad and learn about all the different sides to it, as you gain more and more experience it’s likely you’ll begin to prefer one side of things more than others. We have expertise across multiple industries but have specialist experience in three core areas.

SEO techniques can be classified into two broad categories: techniques that search engines recommend as part of good design, and those techniques of which search engines do not approve. If a local client is introduced to us for a contract size of £500 per month, our white label partners may decide to add £100 margin to the contract and so the customers pays £600. White label simply means that you offer our services under your own brand. View More

As of 2009, there are only a few large markets where Google is not the leading search engine. You can arrange your own payment collection system.

Google cares so much about this because buying links can change how search results appear for users. The most notable example markets are China, Japan, South Korea, Russia and the Czech Republic where respectively Baidu, Yahoo! Japan, Naver, Yandex and Seznam are market leaders.

Early versions of search algorithms relied on webmaster-provided information such as the keyword meta tag or index files in engines like ALIWEB. We provide regular updates and extensive reports that incorporate your branding, can provide ad hoc feedback so that you can update your contacts, and we use reliable and ethical SEO methods so that your customers won’t suffer a penalty.

If you’re reading this, you’ll probably be aware of the SEO industry’s biggest gig of the year. Held in sunny (most of the time) Brighton in a large conference hall hugging the coastline, Brighton SEO is the UK’s largest free SEO conference.

What you need to know is that search engine spiders have become much more sophisticated, and can spot the difference between white hat and black hat SEO efforts. Industry commentators have classified these methods, and the practitioners who employ them, as either white hat SEO, or black hat SEO. Using meta data to index pages was found to be less than reliable, however, because the webmaster's choice of keywords in the meta tag could potentially be an inaccurate representation of the site's actual content. Using our white label SEO services you can show your client content assets and guest posts from relevant blogs, and provide them with a regular source of links. There are many advantages to white label services.

The department for Education

Indigenous education refers to the inclusion of indigenous knowledge, models, methods, and content within formal and non-formal educational systems. Often in a post-colonial context, the growing recognition and use of indigenous education methods can be a response to the erosion and loss of indigenous knowledge and language through the processes of colonialism. Furthermore, it can enable indigenous communities to "reclaim and revalue their languages and cultures, and in so doing, improve the educational success of indigenous students."

Education should equip children with rich knowledge for life, nurturing creativity and problem-solving, and instilling a passion for life-long learning. Children should be helped to develop the life skills they will need as adults, and every pupil should be given advice and guidance about their future. We will:

Educational psychology can in part be understood through its relationship with other disciplines. It is informed primarily by psychology, bearing a relationship to that discipline analogous to the relationship between medicine and biology. Educational psychology, in turn, informs a wide range of specialties within educational studies, including instructional design, educational technology, curriculum development, organizational learning, special education and classroom management. Educational psychology both draws from and contributes to cognitive science and the learning sciences. In universities, departments of educational psychology are usually housed within faculties of education, possibly accounting for the lack of representation of educational psychology content in introductory psychology textbooks (Lucas, Blazek, & Raley, 2006).

In government, Liberal Democrats established a fairer system such that that no undergraduate student in England had to pay a penny of their tuition fees up front or pay anything afterwards until they earn over £21,000 per year. This meant that only high-earning graduates would pay their tuition fees in full, and eliminated systematic discrimination against part-time students. We now have the highest university application rates ever, including from disadvantaged students. But the Conservatives are threatening to undermine opportunity by ending student bursaries, freezing the repayment threshold and raising the level of fees. We will:

There is no broad consensus as to what education's chief aim or aims are or should be. Some authors stress its value to the individual, emphasizing its potential for positively influencing students' personal development, promoting autonomy, forming a cultural identity or establishing a career or occupation. Other authors emphasize education's contributions to societal purposes, including good citizenship, shaping students into productive members of society, thereby promoting society's general economic development, and preserving cultural values.

We need to grow the country’s skills base, especially in the technologies and industries that are most important to Britain’s economic future. We want it to become the norm for businesses to take on and train up young people as apprentices in every sector of our economy, and for higher level apprenticeships to be understood as a respected alternative to university education.

Secondary education in the United States did not emerge until 1910, with the rise of large corporations and advancing technology in factories, which required skilled workers. In order to meet this new job demand, high schools were created, with a curriculum focused on practical job skills that would better prepare students for white collar or skilled blue collar work. This proved beneficial for both employers and employees, since the improved human capital lowered costs for the employer, while skilled employees received higher wages.

University education includes teaching, research, and social services activities, and it includes both the undergraduate level (sometimes referred to as tertiary education) and the graduate (or postgraduate) level (sometimes referred to as graduate school). Universities are generally composed of several colleges. In the United States, universities can be private and independent like Yale University; public and state-governed like the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education; or independent but state-funded like the University of Virginia. A number of career specific courses are now available to students through the Internet.

Investing in high quality early years education has a huge impact on children’s attainment as they enter school. Our most vulnerable children have the most to gain from excellent early years setting, with partnerships with parents a key component. We will: Increase our Early Years Pupil Premium to £1,000 per pupil per year. Raise the quality of early years provision and aim for every formal early years setting to employ at least one person who holds an Early Years Teacher qualification by 2022.

Similarities—in systems or even in ideas—that schools share internationally have led to an increase in international student exchanges. The European Socrates-Erasmus Program facilitates exchanges across European universities. The Soros Foundation provides many opportunities for students from central Asia and eastern Europe. Programs such as the International Baccalaureate have contributed to the internationalization of education. The global campus online, led by American universities, allows free access to class materials and lecture files recorded during the actual classes.

Since 1909, the ratio of children in the developing world attending school has increased. Before then, a small minority of boys attended school. By the start of the 21st century, the majority of all children in most regions of the world attended school.

At the level of the individual, there is a large literature, generally related to the work of Jacob Mincer, on how earnings are related to the schooling and other human capital. This work has motivated a large number of studies, but is also controversial. The chief controversies revolve around how to interpret the impact of schooling. Some students who have indicated a high potential for learning, by testing with a high intelligence quotient, may not achieve their full academic potential, due to financial difficulties.

Educational psychology is the study of how humans learn in educational settings, the effectiveness of educational interventions, the psychology of teaching, and the social psychology of schools as organizations. Although the terms "educational psychology" and "school psychology" are often used interchangeably, researchers and theorists are likely to be identified as educational psychologists, whereas practitioners in schools or school-related settings are identified as school psychologists. Educational psychology is concerned with the processes of educational attainment in the general population and in sub-populations such as gifted children and those with specific disabilities.

Dunn and Dunn focused on identifying relevant stimuli that may influence learning and manipulating the school environment, at about the same time as Joseph Renzulli recommended varying teaching strategies. Howard Gardner identified a wide range of modalities in his Multiple Intelligences theories. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Keirsey Temperament Sorter, based on the works of Jung, focus on understanding how people's personality affects the way they interact personally, and how this affects the way individuals respond to each other within the learning environment. The work of David Kolb and Anthony Gregorc's Type Delineator follows a similar but more simplified approach.

Formal education occurs in a structured environment whose explicit purpose is teaching students. Usually, formal education takes place in a school environment with classrooms of multiple students learning together with a trained, certified teacher of the subject. Most school systems are designed around a set of values or ideals that govern all educational choices in that system. Such choices include curriculum, organizational models, design of the physical learning spaces (e.g. classrooms), student-teacher interactions, methods of assessment, class size, educational activities, and more.

England’s young people are some of the most anxious and unhappy in the world. Schools are on the front line in dealing with children and young adults with mental health issues. We also know that children cannot learn properly if they are undernourished. Parents are under huge pressure and receive little support even though home is the biggest influence on children’s learning. Liberal Democrats believe that parents need to be properly empowered and supported with the tools they need to raise the next generation, and involved in the running of their children’s schools. We will: Ensure that all teaching staff have the training to identify mental health issues and that schools provide immediate access for pupil support and counselling. Include promoting wellbeing as a statutory duty of a school, to be part of the Ofsted inspection framework. Extend free school meals to all children in primary education and promote school breakfast clubs. Establish a new online Family University, supported by leading organisations such as the BBC and Open University, to provide every family with advice and guidance for learning and parenting at home as well as inspiring trips out and local opportunities. Ensure collaboration between leading education and family organisations to improve the flow of helpful information between home and school without increasing teacher workload. Tackle bullying in schools, including bullying on the basis of gender, sexuality, gender identity, or gender expression.

In most contemporary educational systems of the world, secondary education comprises the formal education that occurs during adolescence. It is characterized by transition from the typically compulsory, comprehensive primary education for minors, to the optional, selective tertiary, "postsecondary", or "higher" education (e.g. university, vocational school) for adults. Depending on the system, schools for this period, or a part of it, may be called secondary or high schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, middle schools, colleges, or vocational schools. The exact meaning of any of these terms varies from one system to another. The exact boundary between primary and secondary education also varies from country to country and even within them but is generally around the seventh to the tenth year of schooling. Secondary education occurs mainly during the teenage years. In the United States, Canada, and Australia, primary and secondary education together are sometimes referred to as K-12 education, and in New Zealand Year 1–13 is used. The purpose of secondary education can be to give common knowledge, to prepare for higher education, or to train directly in a profession.

Schools in England are facing an unprecedented funding crisis, with rising pupil numbers and an inadequate financial settlement means that real-terms per-pupil funding is being squeezed. At the same time the Conservatives’ flawed approach to the National Fair Funding Formula means some schools will lose out even more. Liberal Democrats believe every child deserves a high-quality education, wherever they live. We will: Reverse all cuts to frontline school and college budgets, protecting per pupil funding in real terms. Introduce a fairer National Funding System with a protection for all schools, so that no school loses money per pupil in cash terms. Protect the Pupil Premium which targets extra help at disadvantaged children. Over the Parliament, this means an extra £7 billion for school and college budgets

Educational neuroscience is an emerging scientific field that brings together researchers in cognitive neuroscience, developmental cognitive neuroscience, educational psychology, educational technology, education theory and other related disciplines to explore the interactions between biological processes and education. Researchers in educational neuroscience investigate the neural mechanisms of reading, numerical cognition, attention, and their attendant difficulties including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD as they relate to education. Several academic institutions around the world are beginning to devote resources to the establishment of educational neuroscience research.

In formal education, a curriculum is the set of courses and their content offered at a school or university. As an idea, curriculum stems from the Latin word for race course, referring to the course of deeds and experiences through which children grow to become mature adults. A curriculum is prescriptive and is based on a more general syllabus which merely specifies what topics must be understood and to what level to achieve a particular grade or standard.

India is developing technologies that will bypass land-based telephone and Internet infrastructure to deliver distance learning directly to its students. In 2004, the Indian Space Research Organisation launched EDUSAT, a communications satellite providing access to educational materials that can reach more of the country's population at a greatly reduced cost.

Instruction is the facilitation of another's learning. Instructors in primary and secondary institutions are often called teachers, and they direct the education of students and might draw on many subjects like reading, writing, mathematics, science and history. Instructors in post-secondary institutions might be called teachers, instructors, or professors, depending on the type of institution; and they primarily teach only their specific discipline. Studies from the United States suggest that the quality of teachers is the single most important factor affecting student performance, and that countries which score highly on international tests have multiple policies in place to ensure that the teachers they employ are as effective as possible. With the passing of NCLB in the United States (No Child Left Behind), teachers must be highly qualified. A popular way to gauge teaching performance is to use student evaluations of teachers (SETS), but these evaluations have been criticized for being counterproductive to learning and inaccurate due to student bias.

Vocational education is a form of education focused on direct and practical training for a specific trade or craft. Vocational education may come in the form of an apprenticeship or internship as well as institutions teaching courses such as carpentry, agriculture, engineering, medicine, architecture and the arts.

When the 1945 Labour government established the NHS, it created one of the central institutions of fairness of the 20th century. The NES will do the same for the 21st, giving people confidence and hope by making education a right, not a privilege, and building bridges where the Conservatives build barriers.

Under the Conservatives, the free hours entitlement is chronically under-funded, with provision patchy and hard to navigate. Many providers now simply refuse to participate in the scheme. The result is that many parents aren’t even getting the hours they’re entitled to.

We will abandon plans to reintroduce baseline assessments and launch a commission to look into curriculum and assessment, starting by reviewing Key Stage 1 and 2 SATs. The world’s most successful education systems use more continuous assessment, which avoids ‘teaching for the test’.

An academic discipline is a branch of knowledge which is formally taught, either at the university–or via some other such method. Each discipline usually has several sub-disciplines or branches, and distinguishing lines are often both arbitrary and ambiguous. Examples of broad areas of academic disciplines include the natural sciences, mathematics, computer science, social sciences, humanities and applied sciences.

One type of university education is a liberal arts education, which can be defined as a "college or university curriculum aimed at imparting broad general knowledge and developing general intellectual capacities, in contrast to a professional, vocational, or technical curriculum." Although what is known today as liberal arts education began in Europe, the term "liberal arts college" is more commonly associated with institutions in the United States.
