Sharing Caring

YES! The first bit is always the most difficult. I often struggle with introductions, so I developed a system where I leave that part for last. I write the rest of the content, add the images, etc. – and when I’m done with everything, I sit down and craft a proper introduction. Anyway, thank you for all the tips – I really enjoyed your post! Writing isn’t about picking the right topic; it’s about finding the right voice. What matters, what readers really resonate with, isn’t so much what you say, but how.

10 Basic Blogging Tips - Fashion and Fun after Fifty

Since 2006, I’ve been a blogger and have helped thousands of people learn this craft of online publishing. Still, there are days when I feel very much like a newbie.

Blogging Tips | D.G. Kaye Writer

Hi Mary, You can change your blog any time you want. However, you won’t be able to change a domain name – only if you buy another one. So choose wisely

Adding fresh, new and informative content to your website is essential for SEO and building traffic. More importantly, it creates trust and nurtures relationships with current or future customers.

I’ve recently got my Adsense approval and I’ve signed in, But my site is under construction. It may take a month or long to complete it, By the time I complete my site do my adsense account will be cancelled or it will remain.

To help drive this long-term traffic, make sure you're writing blog posts that have durable relevance on a consistent basis. These posts are called "evergreen" blog posts: They're relevant year after year with little or no upkeep, valuable, and high quality.

This sounds a bit similar to my experience, however with a better ending. I accidentally signed up for their WordPress account only to discover I couldn’t do really anything else with the account. I wanted the full (cPanel) version. I called them up and they very graciously switched me at no charge. And, I can still do WordPress on my account.

Tauqir Hussain Hi Ankit, Thanks for sharing such an informative list. I agree completely that monetizing website or blog should be the first step while creating good informative content. If your content and strategy are top notch, you would eventually end up getting meaningful traffic. Few bloggers with 5000 visitors in a month are able to earn decent income due to monetization. Also building an e-mail list should be number one goal as you also stated above. This will eventually be the Bread and Butter of your business, bring most of the sales and building loyal customers.

The first thing you should do is choose what type of blog post you're going to write. Is it a how-to post? A list-based post? A curated collection post? A SlideShare presentation? For help on this, download our free templates for creating five different types of blog posts. Once you have a template down, it'll be easier to write your outline.

Great tips! I use the notes section or Evernote on my phone instead of carrying a notebook. And I love your constructive criticism vs. birds! Haha. And I love your point of investing in travel/fashion for your niche, I hadn’t really thought about it that way. I’d always heard to invest in sponsoring others and stuff, but I like your idea better! Lol. Great post

Ankit Singla Hi Mohan, Thanks for sharing your blogging tips here. I appreciate it. I agree with you. We must have our plan ready. How our blog will make the difference and how it will generate revenue. If these things are clear to us, we can achieve great success in blogging. If you have any other blogging tips that can help others, please share them. Thanks, Ankit

People love to read passionate writers, even if the topic isn’t necessarily something they have an interest in. Write about what you have passion for. Even if you think no one will read it because it’s a niche topic, write.

On top of that, it should be easy to navigate if you want people to stick around. If it’s tricky and difficult to move around it, people won’t stay. Design is a subjective art; meaning everyone likes different things.

My managing editor, Janna Maron, joins me to talk about how to create and keep an editorial calendar. Learn our favorite tools for organizing content and writing tips you can put into action today.

One tactic that I really enjoy is getting businesses to write about topics other than their products, services or company news. Very basic, I know, but I find that many B2B businesses still tend to use their blogs primarily to talk about themselves.

It might sound silly at first, but you don’t actually own your blog. It’s hosted on someone else’s web property and they can delete it if they want so. They have done so in the past, and keep doing it in the future. Which means all your hard work on your blog, all those countless hours of writing blog posts might be vanished within seconds. Sad…

Plus, if you (or your readers) find the mistake, all of you have to do is update the post. No biggie. So give yourself a break once and a while -- perfect is the enemy of done.

This means breaking up text. Keep your paragraphs no more than 6 lines long, create clear white space between paragraphs, write short sentences, include appropriate visuals, use bullet points and publish in an easy-to-read font.

Blogging has gone beyond writing a 500+ word post. Way more!   Every blog post you write should bring you profit. The profit could be anything worthwhile – fresh readers, repeat readers, authority, sales, improved rankings and clients.I want to quickly show you how to write a blog post that generates income for you every week.It doesn’t matter how much you’ve struggled to achieve this goal in your business – just believe it’s possible. No, copy pasting will help you in no way. Avoid copy pasting at all costs because it seems like it is your content when all you do is copy paste, and if you want to refer to some other blog post, copy paste the content and give them proper credit by adding their blog post link in the end.

Premium SEO

Comments won’t affect the SEO of your site. When you are building links that are within blog posts, don’t use exact match anchor text, vary up the keyword.

I can provide you 100 High Quality backlinks for - SEOClerks

The downside of using citation flow as your benchmark is that it doesn’t measure the quality of inbound links, but their quantity. The more inbound links a site has, the better their citation flow. But this doesn’t necessarily mean a high PR. On its own, citation flow isn’t very useful, because quality is more important than quantity with link building.

Though before we move ahead, here are things that you need to keep in mind. In 2012, Google launched Penguin update, which is targeted to get rid of sites using spammy or paid ways to build links. Also, many ways which I mentioned in the article are not so good ways to get quality backlinks, so I will strikethrough such ways and you can ignore them.

I have never read such an amazing article, i am a new blogger and surfing the web daily for getting some helpful information. whenever i type about building backlinks on google, this post comes on top and i am reading it daily and doing these tasks explained in the post step by step and finding it very helpful. thanks a ton for priceless info.

Hello Jason! Are these links still safe to use post-Penguin mayhem? I suggested this to my client, and he went nuts; saying he was penalized by Google before and I should just stick to the usual game plan. Honestly, I think sticking to his plan wouldn’t get us anywhere. Reply

Felix Tarcomnicu June 25, 2015 at 7:26 am / Reply Hi, Don’t pay too much attention PageRank, as it’s a metric that has not been updated for more than one year. I think it’s already one year and a half, and Google has no plans to update it ever. Look at Domain Authority and go for any website that’s higher than 25.

Brian Loebig April 12, 2015 at 2:37 am / Reply Hi Felix, this is the best articles I have read this year on the value of back links. I especially appreciate the various tools you reference to help measure effectiveness. Whenever I bookmark an article it has to be good! Keep up the good work.

Great selection of tips, many I’ve used in the past and still do, but I have a question regards to “48. Create a Wikipedia Page For Yourself and include your link in the resource section.”. Am I wrong in thinking that you are not allowed to create a page for yourself on Wikipedia?

Our network comprises of real blogs and websites which are maintained by real people, and are strictly private. Each site has a unique design, and focuses exclusively on its own niche. We always post images with alt tags, and links to authority sites in order to strengthen the SEO value of all the pages we create within our network.

7. Check TLD Please show me something – anything – from Google that says something akin to that! Links are links – they pass value. You may get additional or boosted value in certain circumstances, but otherwise the link still counts. Having a .de domain and getting links from a .fr domain is not a bad thing at all. You still get PR and Relevancy passing through that link! If you have a .de domain, and target an audience in Germany, and get links from other .de domains that target an audience in Germany, you “may” see some additional value – as far as .de searches go … “may”.

There’s a strong correlation between higher rankings for a website and the number of unique websites (i.e. different domain names hosted on different IP addresses) linking to that site. All else being equal, it’s preferable to have 10 links from 10 different websites than 100 links from 3 different websites. So, for a new link to your business’s website to be considered high quality, it should be from a website which hasn’t already linked to you.

Glad to hear you got value from the post, Vukasin. This is definitely a great way to get links from high PR, niche relevant sites.

Felix Tarcomnicu August 21, 2015 at 8:17 am / Reply Howdy Jordan, Yeah…in boring niches it’s a bit more complicated. But you know what?! If it’s complicated for you to get backlinks, it will be complicated for your competitors as well. This means that with less backlinks you’ll be able to rank higher. Have you checked your competitors backlinks? I’m sure you can find some good opportunities there. Regards, Felix

Even when you do get mentioned, though, there’s no actual guarantee that the people referencing you will give you a link. Sometimes things slip through the net. When that happens, it can be worthwhile to reach out and remind them that you’d like to be linked to.

Getting strong social signals suggests to Google that people find your content useful and choose to share it. That can help Google rate your high-quality content, which means that by the time you start building inbound links to it, any website link becomes natural.

Hi ONIBALUSI, Great article on getting backlinks. Would like to get such great information periodically from you. However, i am confused with one thing. Would not google consider document sharing a duplicate content. If you have written an article published it on your blog afteryou make it pdf and submit it to a document sharing blog. When google crawls it, would’nt google consider it a duplicate content? would it not harm your blog? I am newbie in this field. Please guide me about that.

Some people say blog commenting is no good, others say the opposite. I seem to have decent luck with it. Many blogs rank higher when compared to forum posts. Although forums tend to allow signatures with keyworded anchor text, where most blogs don’t. I just like a combination of things like you suggest.

Targeting consumer demographics: This is another essential targeting element for link building. When you know your audience’s demographics (age, gender, education, and so on), you can get inside their heads. When you do, you’ll be able to create useful content that helps them solve their problems. That’s a key component in building organic links that gets you positive results with a high PR.

Hi Nabeel, Yes, the benefit is two-fold. Search engines crawl the pdf files so leaving a link in it won’t hurt, you also have an option to link to your sites in your author bio which will be displayed after your files. Feel free to ask anything that confuses you. Thanks so much for commenting!

Keep in mind, Google PageRank is not the only factor search engines are crawling for. Here's a good rule of thumb: identify which links are relevant and positive for your brand, and don't necessarily focus on what is good for SEO. Why? Good links for your brand will ideally lead to good SEO.

PageRank (PR) is the most basic and obvious measure to use when assessing the worth of a backlink – the higher the PR of the page where the link is located, the higher the quality of that link. PR can be a misleading metric though. All webpages start off with a PR of 0 (or n/a to be precise) and the PR of a page can rise and fall over time. Also, the PR value that Google displays for a page is only updated for the general public every 3 or so months, but within the algorithm it’s updated constantly. So, the PR value you see is only an estimate, and could well be a point or 2 off of the true PR.

Hi Felix, I just found your blog today. I’ve actually never tried the strategies you mentioned. One of the problems I find about guest posting is that it doesn’t work in ever single niche. For instance, one of the niches I am in people simply don’t guest post on other blogs. I also tried broken link method, didn’t work well for me. Probably need to try it once more. Another thing I’ve used to drive traffic to my websites is to write in relevant forums. A few of them allow you to had a signature. It’s quite old school I know but it still works. Thanks, Jordan

You can ask users of your product and industry experts or analysts to review new features you're rolling out, for example. Not only will you receive an inbound link, but you'll also get great feedback and strengthen your relationship with those you asked to write reviews.

Thanks for sharing! Pretty sure most of these are still good for 2017. But as of Mar 2017, DMOZ has been shut down… and the latest Google Fred update is still kind of a mystery. A few of my articles have been slapped (not penalized), I see an overall drop in ranking – probably something to do with my link building. Stay safe people. Fred seems to be killing low quality content, and those who builds irrelevant links too fast… and we have no idea what it exactly deems to be “low quality links”.

For example, many people relied on private blog networks to help boost and achieve high PR. Then, Google threw a bomb, known as the PBN deindexing update, which tanked rankings for sites that had used that technique.

You can see all updates from the Niche Site Challenge here. I’m not too proud to admit when I messed up. And, around October last year, I really messed up. I promised to bring you a new niche site update every month. And did I? Nope. In fact, right now, One Day Guides lies untouched.

This method will help you to earn quick backlinks from high-quality pages. Broken link building technique is to find broken links on a website (related to your niche) and email the content owner and notify them about broken link. Along with that, give them a similar link from your website (Similar content which you already have to create one), and ask them to update their post.

Remember when I said you should get to know other webmasters? This is another time those connections will come in handy. When you find broken links on others' sites, let them know (politely, of course), and provide them with a piece of your own content that would be a suitable replacement for that broken link. Be personal, friendly, and helpful, and this could be an opportunity to start building a relationship with that webmaster, too.

Use guest blogging to earn authority links: Guest blogging used to be very powerful. In fact, Danny Iny used guest blogging to recover from losing his company and being $250,000 in debt.

Asad Ali October 14, 2015 at 4:37 am / Reply Great tutorial! I agree that people don’t usually share their million-dollars secret with others. SEO is more of an art than science. And at the current time 90% of SEO is all about backlinks. I’ve tried to build some high authority backlinks by commenting but it rarely works, especially for niches other than internet markeeting. there are too many websites an SEO niche can comment and get backlinks but this isn’t true for other niches. Guest posting works for all. I am gonna try it.

Healthy Foods For Healthy Heart | Health Doctrine

Make lunch a mix of lean protein and starchy carbs. Carb-rich foods supply energy so you'll suffer from mid-afternoon slumps if you cut them out. The key is to choose carbs that produce a steady rise in blood sugar, which means passing on sugary 'white' foods and going for high fibre whole-grains, which help you manage those afternoon munchies. Whole-grains like rye, wholewheat and barley keep you satisfied for longer - in fact studies show rye bread keeps blood sugar stable for up to 10 hours - a sure way to dampen those mid-afternoon energy crashes.

“There are trillions of microbes – bacteria, viruses, fungi and more – living in the gut, and they aren’t just along for the ride,” Benson said. “The gut microbiome normally acts in concert with the body to regulate organs, develop our immune systems, fight disease and metabolize foods.”

Soy’s days as a cure-all may be over, but edamame still has an important place on your plate. Foods such as tofu, soy milk, and edamame help fight heart disease when they replace fatty meats and cheeses, slashing saturated fat intake. Soy also contains heart-healthy polyunsaturated fats, a good amount of fiber, and some important vitamins. Soy’s isoflavones, or plant estrogens, may also help prevent breast cancer. Some researchers believe these bind with estrogen receptors, reducing your exposure to the more powerful effects of your own estrogen, says Prevention advisor Andrew Weil, MD. But stick with whole soy foods rather than processed foods, like patties or chips, made with soy powder. Don’t take soy supplements, which contain high and possibly dangerous amounts of isoflavones.

Olive oil is full of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats (MUFAs), which lower "bad" LDL cholesterol and raise "good" HDL cholesterol. It’s rich in antioxidants, which may help reduce the risk of cancer and other chronic diseases, like Alzheimer’s. Look for extra virgin oils for the most antioxidants and flavor. Drizzle small amounts on veggies before roasting; use it to sauté or stir-fry, in dressings and marinades, and to flavor bread at dinner in lieu of a layer of butter or margarine. Recent developments on the benefits of broccoli from MNT news Lightly steamed broccoli contains the powerful anticancer enzyme myrosinase. Researchers from the University of Illinois wrote in Nutrition and Cancer that lightly steamed broccoli can significantly reduce your risk of developing cancers (steaming it slightly does not destroy the enzyme myrosinase). However, if you overcook it the health benefits are undermined.8 Eating broccoli may help prevent osteoarthritis. A UK study found that sulforaphane, a compound found in broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage and Brussels sprouts, could help fight osteoarthritis, the most common form of arthritis.9

Almonds They're filled with vitamin E, which slows macular degeneration, research shows. One handful (an ounce) provides about half of your daily dose of E. 5 of 7

Green tea’s antioxidant compounds have been linked to slower cancer growth, improved blood flow, weight loss, improved liver function, and reduced rates of brain diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. But black tea's no slouch in the health department either; it's been shown to reduce stroke risk and lung damage from smoking. There’s plenty of debate over how much you have to drink to experience the most benefit. But whether you knock back a cup a week or several a day, you’re doing your body a favor. Fiber-rich oats are even healthier than the FDA thought when it first stamped them with a heart disease-reducing seal 10 years ago. According to recent research, they can also cut your risk of type 2 diabetes. Good old bananas are loaded with potassium—a macronutrient that helps control your blood pressure and keeps your nervous system operating at peak efficiency. Potassium also lowers your risk for stroke, according to research from the FDA. But if you’re like most women, you’re consuming only half the potassium your body needs. One banana packs 450 mg—about 10% of your daily potassium target—as well as fiber to keep your digestive system running smoothly.

This is not surprising, given that they taste incredible. Fruits are also very easy to incorporate into the diet, because they require little to no preparation.

The apple is high in fiber, vitamin C and numerous antioxidants. Apples are very fulfilling, and perfect as snacks if you find yourself hungry between meals.

Loaded with vitamin C, oranges are also solid sources of folate—important for cell maintenance and repair. They contain potassium and vitamins B1 and A, which are essential for vision and immune function. And the pectin in oranges absorbs unhealthy cholesterol from the other foods you eat, and so keeps the bad stuff out of your system. Pectin also neutralizes a harmful protein called galectin-3 that causes tissue scarring in your heart, shows UK research. (Try these 7 citrus recipes you'll love.)

These smooth, buttery fruits are a great source of not only MUFAs but other key nutrients as well. One Ohio State University study found that when avocado was added to salads and salsa, it helped increase the absorption of specific carotenoids, plant compounds linked to lower risk of heart disease and macular degeneration, a leading cause of blindness. "Avocados are packed with heart-protective compounds, such as soluble fiber, vitamin E, folate, and potassium," says Elizabeth Somer, RD, author of 10 Habits That Mess Up a Woman's Diet. But they are a bit high in calories. To avoid weight gain, use avocado in place of another high-fat food or condiment, such as cheese or mayo. One of the healthiest fruits you should be eating is one you probably already are: the apple. The Iowa Women’s Health Study, which has been investigating the health habits of 34,000 women for nearly 20 years, named apples as one of only three foods (along with pears and red wine) that are most effective at reducing the risk of death from heart disease among postmenopausal women. Other massive studies have found the fruit to lower risk of lung cancer and type 2 diabetes—and even help women lose weight. In fact, one of the only things that could make an apple unhealthy is mixing it with sugar, flour, and butter and stuffing it into a mile-high pie. Instead, have one as an afternoon snack with a tablespoon of peanut butter, or add slices to sandwiches or salads.

During the Protectorate under Oliver Cromwell, the manufacture of wallpaper, seen as a frivolous item by the Puritan government, was halted. Following the Restoration of Charles II, wealthy people across England began demanding wallpaper again - Cromwell's regime had imposed a boring culture on people, and following his death, wealthy people began purchasing comfortable domestic items which had been banned under the Puritan state.

Another method of removal is to apply steam to wallpaper in order to dissolve the wallpaper paste. A wallpaper steamer consists of a reservoir of water, an electric heating element, and a hose to direct the steam at the wallpaper. The steam dissolves the wallpaper paste, allowing the wallpaper to be peeled off. However, care must be taken to prevent damage to the drywall underneath. Sometimes steaming can lead to the crumbling of underlying drywall or plaster, leaving an uneven surface to be repaired.

During the Napoleonic Wars, trade between Europe and Britain evaporated, resulting in the gradual decline of the wallpaper industry in Britain. However, the end of the war saw a massive demand in Europe for British goods which had been inaccessible during the wars, including cheap, colourful wallpaper. The development of steam-powered printing presses in Britain in 1813 allowed manufacturers to mass-produce wallpaper, reducing its price and so making it affordable to working-class people. Wallpaper enjoyed a huge boom in popularity in the nineteenth century, seen as a cheap and very effective way of brightening up cramped and dark rooms in working-class areas. It became almost the norm in most areas of middle-class homes, but remained relatively little used in public buildings and offices, with patterns generally being avoided in such locations. In the latter half of the century Lincrusta and Anaglypta, not strictly wallpapers, became popular competitors, especially below a dado rail. They could be painted and washed, and were a good deal tougher, though also more expensive.

Like paint, wallpaper requires proper surface preparation before application. Additionally wallpaper is not suitable for all areas. For example, bathroom wallpaper may deteriorate rapidly due to excessive steam. Proper preparation includes the repair of any defects in the drywall or plaster and the removal of loose material or old adhesives. For a better finish with thinner papers and poorer quality walls the wall can be cross-lined (horizontally) with lining paper first .Accurate room measurements (length, width, and height) along with number of window and door openings is essential for ordering wallpaper. Large drops, or repeats, in a pattern can be cut and hung more economically by working from alternating rolls of paper.

Non-woven wallpaper: The material, which is used to produce non-woven wallpaper is also used as backing material for other types of wallpaper (mixture of chemical pulp and textile fibres). When hanging this Wallpaper, the paste will be applied directly to the wall, after this the wallpaper will hang on without booking time.

Perfect for those looking to showcase feature walls or add a hint of magic to a room. Looking to paint your room? A tactile, textured wallpaper is a great alternative to plain paper, especially if your painting surface is uneven. Choose from a variety of styles and textures in our textured wallpaper range. All wallpaper at Graham & Brown is of the highest quality finish, meaning it's not only our unique designs that we're proud of, but the fantastic durability and ease of hanging and application too.

The most common wall covering for residential use and generally the most economical is prepasted vinyl coated paper, commonly called "strippable" which can be misleading. Cloth backed vinyl is fairly common and durable. Lighter vinyls are easier to handle and hang. Paper backed vinyls are generally more expensive, significantly more difficult to hang, and can be found in wider untrimmed widths. Foil wallpaper generally has paper backing and can (exceptionally) be up to 36 inches wide, and be very difficult to handle and hang. Textile wallpapers include silks, linens, grass cloths, strings, rattan, and actual impressed leaves. There are acoustical wall carpets to reduce sound. Customized wallcoverings are available at high prices and most often have minimum roll orders.

Towards the end of the 18th century the fashion for scenic wallpaper revived in both England and France, leading to some enormous panoramas, like the 1804 20 strip wide panorama, Sauvages de la Mer du Pacifique (Savages of the Pacific), designed by the artist Jean-Gabriel Charvet for the French manufacturer Joseph Dufour et Cie showing the Voyages of Captain Cook. This famous so called "papier peint" wallpaper is still in situ in Ham House, Peabody Massachusetts. It was the largest panoramic wallpaper of its time, and marked the burgeoning of a French industry in panoramic wallpapers. Dufour realized almost immediate success from the sale of these papers and enjoyed a lively trade with America. The Neoclassical style currently in favour worked well in houses of the Federal period with Charvet's elegant designs. Like most 18th-century wallpapers, the panorama was designed to be hung above a dado.

Furthermore, wallpaper comes in the form of borders, typically mounted horizontally, and commonly near ceiling level of homes. Borders come in varying widths and patterns.

By the early twentieth century, wallpaper had established itself as one of the most popular household items across the Western world. Manufacturers in the USA included Sears; designers included Andy Warhol. Wallpaper has gone in and out of fashion since about 1930, but the overall trend has been for wallpaper-type patterned wallcoverings to lose ground to plain painted walls.

While Joseph Dufour et Cie was shut down in the 1830s, Zuber et Cie still exists and, with Cole & Son of England and the Atelier d'Offard (1999–present) equally situated in France, is one of the last Western producers of woodblock printed wallpapers. For its production Zuber uses woodblocks out of an archive of more than 100,000 cut in the 19th century which are classified as a "Historical Monument". It offers panoramic sceneries such as "Vue de l'Amérique Nord", "Eldorado Hindoustan" or "Isola Bella" and also wallpapers, friezes and ceilings as well as hand-printed furnishing fabrics.

The collections presented under the Prestigious Wallpapers umbrella reflect this diversity. Embracing easy-care vinyls and exclusive designs for paste-the-wall application, the portfolio covers all options, from vibrant retro-inspired geometrics and tactile bead-embellished motifs to subtle weathered effects and stunning trompe l’oeil murals.

Wallpaper, using the printmaking technique of woodcut, gained popularity in Renaissance Europe amongst the emerging gentry. The social elite continued to hang large tapestries on the walls of their homes, as they had in the Middle Ages. These tapestries added color to the room as well as providing an insulating layer between the stone walls and the room, thus retaining heat in the room. However, tapestries were extremely expensive and so only the very rich could afford them. Less well-off members of the elite, unable to buy tapestries due either to prices or wars preventing international trade, turned to wallpaper to brighten up their rooms.

High-quality wallpaper made in China became available from the later part of the 17th century; this was entirely handpainted and very expensive. It can still be seen in rooms in palaces and grand houses including Nymphenburg Palace, Łazienki Palace, Chatsworth House, Temple Newsam, Broughton Castle, Lissan House, and Erddig. It was made up to 1.2 metres wide. English, French and German manufacturers imitated it, usually beginning with a printed outline which was coloured in by hand, a technique sometimes also used in later Chinese papers.

England and France were leaders in European wallpaper manufacturing. Among the earliest known samples is one found on a wall from England and is printed on the back of a London proclamation of 1509. It became very popular in England following Henry VIII's excommunication from the Catholic Church - English aristocrats had always imported tapestries from Flanders and Arras, but Henry VIII's split with the Catholic Church had resulted in a fall in trade with Europe. Without any tapestry manufacturers in England, English gentry and aristocracy alike turned to wallpaper.
